You read that right: Foot Locker is officially coming to the Philippines!
The biggest footwear and sportswear multi-brand retailer in the U.S. is set to open its largest store in South East Asia in the latter part of the year. Soon enough, you won’t need to travel abroad anymore to satisfy all your sneakerhead needs and shop some of the most exciting sports and lifestyle brands. The first Foot Locker Power Store in the Philippines is expected to open at Glorietta by Ayala Malls in December 2022.
Foot Locker stores house top brands like Nike, Adidas, Puma, Converse, and many more. Other than shoes, the retailer also offers an array of activewear apparel ranging from sports bras and leggings to hoodies and sweatpants.
We have MAP Active Philippines, which is a subsidiary of PT Mitra Adiperkasa Indonesia, to thank for the arrival of the popular sports and lifestyle retailer in the country. Knowing that Filipinos are a sneaker-loving community, CEO of MAP Group, V.P Sharma shares in a press release that this partnership will allow them to “bring the culture of youth active lifestyle and sneaker enthusiasts to [the] Philippines to the highest standard.”
Furthermore, preparing to open the biggest physical store in the SEA region is no easy feat, but it looks like they already have a lot in store for us. “We look forward to bringing together new standards that have never been achieved in retail in the Philippines,” he says.
We can't wait!
