Always on the lookout for up and coming local fashion designers who want to create their own retail brands, The Ramp Crossings recently tapped the young designer Vania Romoff to come up with a special collection just in time for the year’s romantic season. Dubbed as one of Preview’s designer to watch for 2010, The Ramp Crossings instantly noticed Vania Romoff’s fresh and striking perspective on fashion. After all, The Ramp Crossings is a street-style shopping hub that has been the launch pad of many Filipino designers’ ready to wear collection.
Just in time for prom season, Vania Romoff’s collaboration with The Ramp gears towards the prom market as its target and she imagined her muse as a young, carefree and eternally romantic character set in a dreamy ball. Vania describes her collection as romantic with a twist, playful yet delicately assertive. The use of delicate hues and dreamy dresses in a variety of textures reflected the designer’s interpretation of the feminine sense.
“Her pieces stood out because I saw that our shoppers would feel extremely indulged, beautiful and special while dressed up in a Vania Romoff creation.” Says Xandra Ramos-Padilla, General Manager of The Ramp Crossings. The pieces were set to friendlier and much affordable price points so shoppers can enjoy the privilege of owning designer-made creations without spending too much. Perfect for proms, graduations, balls and other events, Vania Romoff also features dresses in strong, bright colors to highlight youthfulness and chiffon and lace pieces to evoke an ethereal, but modern feel.
Vania’s innate talent shines through her pieces and it is no wonder that we will see more this young designer’s creations in the near future. After all, born into a family of fashion-involved personas, Vania’s name is definitely destined to make it big in the wonderful world of fashion. Just we wait and see.
Vania Romoff for The Ramp Crossings will be available for a limited time in The Ramp Glorietta, Shangri-La and Trinoma on February 12, 2011.
