This Former OFW Designed His Daughter's Dress Using Recycled Balikbayan Boxes

Balikbayan Anthony Gonzales, who previously held a job as an art director for Mabuhay Magazine and was based in Singapore for 15 years, was tasked to create a dress made of recycled materials for his daughter's online pageant. 

Inspired by a story they once featured about two Philippine Eagles sent to Singapore as part of an agreement between the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) and Wildlife Reserves Singapore, Anthony designed and created a gown with wings as a tribute not just to the Philippine eagle, but the iconic maya and sarimanok birds.
