Thrift flips have been growing in popularity for giving fashion enthusiasts the chance to transform old clothes into something more ~their~ style. One fresh grad decided to do a thrift flip on a school uniform and shared her process in a vlog. Architecture major Nicole De Leon took her sister's old high school uniform and transformed it into a chic look, inspired by Poppy Moore's own uniform transformation in Wild Child.

Friendly reminder: Before starting the video, Nicole mentioned that she's only doing this thrift flip for fun and because the uniform is no longer being used. If you're still using your uniforms, Nicole discourages you from doing the same.

In her vlog, Nicole started off with the skirt by shortening its hem. Because Poppy's school skirt had two parts--one that was pleated and one that wasn't--Nicole proceeded to cut out the front part of the school skirt which will serve as the non-pleated part.

For the rest of the outfit, Nicole instead used thrifted items to complete the school look and make it as close to the OG look as possible. For the top, Nicole left a thrifted old white button-down untouched. For the ribbon, she took some leftover fabric from the skirt and made a makeshift ribbon. She also transformed a thrifted blazer into a cropped one to match Poppy's uniform in the movie.
