Known as one of local entertainment’s most prominent families, the Barretto sisters—comprised of ‘90s stars Gretchen, Marjorie, and Claudine—are no strangers to being the talk of the town, often making headlines both for their personal and professional lives. But buzz-worthy controversies aside, one can't deny that their sense of fashion is just as worthy of attention. Albeit they each have a different aesthetic, all of them are stylish in their own way.
That said, it comes as no surprise that the public still keeps tabs on the Barrettos, extending interest to their equally sartorial savvy offspring! Because what’s better than being in the spotlight? Being born into it, apparently. Just like their moms, the next-gen Barrettos are stylish in their own right.
Keep scrolling to get to know the next of the Barretto kin primed to take over the spotlight (if they haven't already)
Meet the Stylish Next-Gen Barrettos:
1. Julia BarrettoPHOTO BY Instagram/juliabarretto
Growing up in the limelight as a child star and a prominent leading lady herself, Julia hardly needs an introduction. Known as one of today’s most bankable actresses, her team-up with her former beau Joshua Garcia has become a fixture in fan-favorite love teams of her generation, a testament to her showbiz success along with her iconic roles in Mirabella and Kokey.
The 25-year-old star, who graduated high school from St. Paul College Pasig, is also a budding businesswoman and vlogger! In her off-duty looks and travel OOTDs, she’s known for donning minimalist pieces that showcase her understated elegance and sensational figure.
2. Dominique CojuangcoPHOTO BY Instagram/dominique
A true glamour girl, former Preview cover girl Dominique follows in the footsteps of her mom Gretchen, always impeccably dressed to the nines and never stepping out with a hair out of place! Fueled by her mission to make beauty more sustainable, she now owns local beauty boutique The Collective with her fiancé Michael Hearn, a self-care website that caters to Filipinas of various skin types and concerns with its curated list of trusted brands.
Like La Greta, you’ll often see her in luxury designer staples. That's not to say she hasn't carved a unique style of her own, enhanced by her professional training in Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising in California, where she graduated Magna Cum Laude.
3. Claudia BarrettoPHOTO BY Instagram/claudia
While Claudia had always kept a firm eye on her music career, that doesn’t mean her education has to be put on hold. Proving that you can achieve multiple dreams at the same time, she juggles her many responsibilities with grace and excellence. In fact, she graduated BS Psychology with high honors in Ateneo De Manila University and has gifted herself a Eurotrip for her well-deserved milestone.
Aside from being a budding musician and top-notch student, she’s also a mental health advocate and now a proud CEO of her own coffee line. Like her sister Julia, she’s a fan of understated pieces, but you’ll also see her experimenting with avant-garde beauty looks from time to time!
4. Dani BarrettoPHOTO BY Instagram/dominique
It wouldn’t be a complete list without Marjorie’s eldest daughter Dani, a social media influencer known as one of the OG fashion bloggers, writing and sharing her OOTD's details online before it was even a "thing." A graduate of De La Salle College of St. Benilde, she advocates for body positivity and empowerment in her platforms, unafraid to share her personal struggles, whether it’s about the insecurity she had to face while being compared to her sisters, or her daughter’s speech delay and how she handles it.
Wearing several hats (businesswoman and mom included), it’s no surprise that Dani is leaning towards relaxed fashion—opting for basic, one-and-done pieces that get her ready in her numerous endeavors.
5. Leon BarrettoPHOTO BY Instagram/theleonbarretto
Just like his sisters, Leon is also carving his own path and has recently launched a YouTube channel, charming everyone with his witty banters and good looks. Aiming to make a name for himself in the field of marketing, he is now a college freshman at the University of Asia and the Pacific. He makes sure to be a good role model to his fellow youth, helping them by candidly sharing his college experiences.
Naturally fashion-conscious similar to the rest of his family, he’s always dressed to impress with his nonchalant swagger and pared-down ‘fits.
