Last night, many Gen Z celebrities graced the Star Magical Christmas’ white carpet parade in glitzy clothes and glamorous get-ups. Lots of cute outfits caught our eye during the event, but we especially loved KD Estrada and Alexa Ilacad’s adorable couple OOTD!
Looking every bit like a golden goddess, Alexa wore a pastel yellow dress with gleaming accessories and dewy makeup. Meanwhile, KD complemented his love team partner’s dress with a purple coat and pants paired with glittery shoes. Awww, so cute!
Apart from looking charming, what we love about this OOTD is how meaningful it is to the couple. Earlier today, Alexa took to Instagram to explain that they were actually inspired by puto bumbong and bibingka. Hmmm, who knew kakanin could look this good?
Alexa wrote on social media, “The Puto Bumbong to my Bibingka, @kdestrada_. When I think of Christmas, I am always reminded of my two favorite delicacies, Puto Bumbong and Bibingka. It feels like the holidays every time I see and eat it. It’s my perfect pair!” It may sound a bit unconventional at first, but NGL, their delectable idea is too endearing.
Since their concept is a fresh and playful take on Filipino culture, we’re not at all surprised that many KDLex fans also praised the tandem for finding a way to stand out. It’s also no wonder they snagged not one, not two, but *three* best costume awards during the event, both individually and as a tandem.
