Running a business and supporting an advocacy don’t always go hand in hand; but thanks to these three heaven-sent brands, each new fashion piece automatically serves as a helping hand to those in need:
Àmen is a local clothing brand that aims to make a difference in unique clothing and in the lives of the people they encounter. They have beneficiaries assigned to a specific design and that design has only seven pieces available for selling. Ten percent of the profit from those designs goes to their beneficiaries.
Their last beneficiary, Tatay Sano, has been gifted an airplane ticket home to Bohol. He hasn’t been able to go home for years now because he doesn’t have the money for transportation, but through Àmen, he was able to do so.
If you’re into fun and unique clothing, shop at Àmen and have the chance to help out a beneficiary or two!
Eye Know Right Shadies
Eye Know Right Shadies is a brand dedicated to artists. They support passionate artists (through their Eye Know Movement) who make an impact just by sharing their gifts and passions with other people. Twenty percent of their net proceeds go directly to their School-Project™ which gives street children who are aspiring artists free access to art education.
They also released a line of t-shirts and caps called Legazy back in November 2019 which was aimed towards showcasing the beauty of Baybayin (our pre-colonial writing system) through streetwear.
If you want to contribute to sending kids to art school and promoting our very own Baybayin, go visit their online shop, stat!
Clique Store is an accessory shop that dreams of building a shelter for homeless dogs. Their necklaces and bracelets are hypoallergenic and there are lots of designs to choose from. Part of the proceeds is given to the Philippine Animal Rescue Team to help save, feed, and rescue stray dogs.
In July 2019, they visited the Philippine Animal Rescue Team and spent a day with the dogs which they helped feed!
