Project Runway is finally coming back for its 16th season, bringing in a new roster of aspiring designers. And while watching the show's latest promotional video, we spotted Filipina model Samantha Gomez included in this season's model line up! You might recognize her from your older issues of Candy!
In the video above, host Heidi Klum introduced the models, who walked into the frame led by Samantha, as part of the changes to be anticipated this season. Now if you've been following the hit reality show, you know that designers are tasked to create pieces for runway models who usually wear size zero. But this season, Project Runway is bringing in women of diverse shapes and sizes ranging from size zero to 22.
Samantha's stint at Project Runway may be her biggest break yet, but she's not new to the modeling biz. In fact, you may remember her as the then-14-year-old girl from Pampanga who bagged the Supermodel of the World title in the Philippine leg of Ford Models' 2011 competition held in New York, following the footsteps of Danica Magpantay who won the same contest in 2010. And because of this feat, Sam was able to propel her modeling career.
