Denim is one of the most wearable fabrics on the planet. Find out more about the humble beginnings of this well-loved versatile fabric.

Denim Timeline
1800s: Leob Strauss, who later changed his first name to the more recognizable Levi was a salesman of common dry good products. He was starting to make denim trousers for laborers when Jacob Davis, a tailor, putched an idea to add metal rivets to the pants to improve their strength. Davis couldn't afford the patent for his idea so he asked Levi to pay for it. They went into business together and the company Levi's was born.
