We've heard it said countless times before that leggings are not pants, and yet a lot of girls still take their favorite pair of leggings out with their trusty tee for a comfy OOTD. While we often berate you for doing so, we do have to agree that a pair leggings are indeed comfy, and are closet staples, too! To break the common misconception that leggings are perfect for casual outfits only, we're showing you how to dress up your favorite pair of leggings and look fashionably on-point without having to sacrifice comfort at all.

Instead of the usual blacks and grays, opt for a pair in deep forest green for an unexpected choice. Wear it with a long tee, throw on a blazer, a pair of sunnies and you're good to go! End the look with a pair of snazzy sneakers for an instant dose of cool.

If you don't have a long tee to go with your trusty leggings, then throw on a faux fur coat over your entire OOTD. It does the same job as your long tee, but with extra sass and style points!

Take advantage of the cooler months ahead and throw on an oversized sweater over your favorite black leggings for an effortlessly fashionable look. Cap the look off with a pair of ankle boots and a beanie to keep your outfit cool, but comfy.

For a preppy OOTD that can take you from classroom to hangout with a breeze, wear a cable knit sweater with your leggings, and before you head out for school, cuff the hem of your leggings for an unexpected fashion twist.

Keep your look comfy, but still edgy with an oversized tee-and-leather leggings-combo. Finish the look with a pair of white sneaks for an easy to put together, on-point look for the day.
