You made me feel what it's like to win a lottery ticket every day.
You made me feel what it's like to win the Miss Universe crown.
You made me feel what it's like to be on top of the Mount Everest.
You made me feel what it's like to be a princess.

You made me feel what it's like seeing the person you love the most after a year of being apart. You gave me that excitement, that urgency to just hug you so tight and never let go of you again.

You made me feel what it's like to be loved, appreciated and cared for. You made me feel special.

And honestly, I never regret any second that I have given you in our four years together, but maybe you did. Maybe somewhere in between, you were unhappy that's why you did those things even though you knew it would shatter me. That's why in the end, you just made me feel like homeless puppy on a stormy day.

You ended up making me feel like I won a lottery ticket, but I lost the ticket just as I was about to claim the prize.

You ended up making me feel like I already won the crown, but the announcer got the wrong candidate number.

You ended up making me feel like I was on top of Mount Everest, but you let me suffocate myself with thoughts that you'd be there with me too.

You ended up making me feel like a princess who was soon dethroned.

You ended up making me feel such excitement of seeing the person I love most after a year of being apart just to tell me that the reason you went home was to break up with me because you found somebody who made you feel so loved more than I did.

I thought you were the one. I wrote you this letter not tell you that I hate you or because I still love you—believe me, I am now laughing at myself whenever I remember the times that I was so crazy about you. I wrote this to tell you that I am thankful.

I am so thankful that you did those things because if it weren't for the things that happened between us I would still be miserably waiting for somebody who has been cheating on me. Thank you for making me stronger and wiser. You served as my light when I was stuck on a dark tunnel. Yes, you broke me, but you were God's lesson to me.

I held on to the thought of you, not because I still love you, but because you gave me the reason to survive that crash, to do whatever it takes to manage to still breathe, and successfully make it to shore to save myself and start a new world. Thank you for sinking our boat.

You promised me a lot of things, but almost all of them were empty promises. The only promise that you kept was when you told me that "I am your life support," because you were. Ironic as it may sound but when you sank the ship we built and you gave me the feeling of being stuck in the middle of the sea with a life vest, you were my life support. I held on to the thought of you, not because I still love you, but because you gave me the reason to survive that crash, to do whatever it takes to manage to still breathe, and successfully make it to shore to save myself and start a new world. Thank you for sinking our boat.
