From Our Readers: To the Girl Who's Tired of Trying

I'm sorry my best just wasn't good enough.

We all know that feeling when we try our best and it just isn't good enough. So we just keep on trying and trying, hoping that we'd make them proud even just once.

Until one day we're just completely fed up, exhausted.

We get tired of trying too hard at times that we know we'll never make it. At times, we're sure that we'll just end up hurting ourselves. All we end up doing is staring blankly at the ceiling, allowing our own thoughts to destroy our high hopes little by little.

We find ourselves locked up in our bedrooms, crying our hearts out over the person we thought we always knew—ourselves.

Then we ask ourselves, "Am I really that worthless to the people around me?"

The answer is no. Even if you keep trying and trying, you will never make all the people around you completely happy.

Even if you keep trying and trying, you will never make all the people around you completely happy.

So sometimes, you have to learn to know the limits of what you can only do and keep close the people who will accept you for who you are. Remember that even if you don't make all of them happy, there are still people who are counting on you to count on yourself because you're something worth winning for.
