Some people think you're strong enough or you simply don't care about every criticism, opinion, or judgment they throw your way. Little did they know that you're just too numb to even get hurt from the same bullets that hit you.
It's really absurd whenever we say 'we should kill people with our kindness' because sometimes, we don't realize that it's ourselves we are already killing for being too kind and too good to others.
People think you won't get mad. People think you won't fight back. People think you will always understand. That's how they see you—someone who can always forgive. And you think that's who you really are. Little did you know that that's just who you choose to be.
You'd rather not react if people do something against you. You'd rather shut your mouth if they say something against you. You'd rather forgive if they hurt you. You'd rather let things pass than to endure the pain you'll feel from their actions. But you know what, being too kind is sometimes not good for oneself because if people see you act the other way around, it's easy for them to say you've changed—and that's something bad for them.
So don't be afraid. Don't be afraid to challenge your classmate's ideas during a debate. Don't be afraid to tell your friends that their jokes are not funny anymore. Don't be afraid to tell your best friend that he or she is falling crazily in love that's it's scary and dangerous. Don't be afraid to refrain from giving another chance to your boyfriend who really never felt sorry in the first place. Don't be afraid to ask your siblings to act more mature. Don't be afraid to tell your parents that you did your best but you always comes second. Don't kill yourself by saving others from being hit of what you truly think and feel towards them. Never be afraid to stop being kind to those people who don't deserve any bit of your kindness.
Don't kill yourself by saving others from being hit of what you truly think and feel towards them.
Be who you really are; don't be someone who compromised herself to conform with the norm. People will always judge you anyway, so why not get judged for being who you are? Be honest and never be afraid of your own self.
