Candy Reader Poetry: Just Let Me Love You
We have always been attached to the idea that someone will kiss our scars and take the pain away. I strongly agree on that but I think it will make the suffering better if you have someone with you. Someone who will hold you, someone will help you fix yourself.
So, let me fall in love with you.
Let me love your flaws and imperfections
Let me love the way your eyes sparkle
when you're talking about what fascinates you the most.
Let me fall in love with the way you fall asleep,
Because you are beautiful and
I hope you're aware.
Let me fall in love with your art
for it speaks a lot about you.
Let me fall in love with your hands
It shows how much you've been through yet
you're still surviving, living.
Let me fall in love with your soul,
Your soul that will let me see who you
really are behind that mask
Let me fall in love with your vulnerability
Let me fall in love with your pain
For you are the poet
and I can be your poem
And, my love,
if ever we disappear from one another's lives,
I am forever honored to be your subject.
