Candy Reader Poetry: Friendship Over

This haunts me every night.
PHOTO Summit Entertainment ART Naomi Torrecampo

You always put the blame on me
Aren't you ashamed?
Blaming me for one mistake
But this is yours to take.

This friendship ends
But I know we still can mend it.
Yet because of your ego
I'm about to let go.

You can't accept that I'm right
Now, this haunts you every night.
This was bound to happen
Now you pride has been beaten.

Thank you for the friendship
Now I'm about to lose my grip.
I might be burdening you
With this friendship that was never true.
