4 Things You Wish Your Ex Would Say
It's over. After months of fighting and crying, you and your boyfriend have finally decided to call it quits.
As with most breakups, there's a lot left unsaid—explanations, apologies, and confessions that you're never going to hear now that you're living separate lives. Here are just some of them:
People say that you need to accept the apology you never got, but it's a lot easier said than done. No matter how hard you try, you still find it hard to forgive him for all the pain he has caused you. Sometimes, you couldn't help but wish he'd man up and apologize. Maybe then you'll find it easier to move on.
“I shouldn't have let you go.”
If you're still clinging to the hope of getting back together with your ex, there is probably no string of words you'd rather hear than this one. You regret letting things end the way they did, and you hope against hope that he feels the same way.
“I'm not really okay.”
You log in to your Facebook account, and the first thing you see are photos of him with his friends and the girl you've always been jealous of. You try to tell yourself that it's all just an act, but something in his smile tells you otherwise.
“I still want to fix this.”
You do, too. More than anything. You want to believe that despite everything you've been through, you guys could still turn things around. That's why up until now, you're still waiting for him to come back.
Breakups are devastating especially if you have committed so much of yourself in that relationship.
