My two-year old nephew, Zaider, told her Mama that he wanted the same haircut as our mom, who already lost her hair. She was diagnosed with Endometrial Cancer Stage 3 last November. And it still doesn't seem real. I was so devastated when I learned about it. It felt like a part of my heart was broken into pieces. She is an amazing person and she doesn't deserve to endure something like this. My mom is my bestfriend. She is always with me, especially when I was struggling with depression and panic attacks. I could tell her everything. I couldn't imagine my life without her. She began her chemotheraphy in December and I could feel that she was afraid but she kept on telling us that she was okay. In spite of what she is going through right now, I can see how strong she is. She is truly a fighter. She will have her fourth cycle this week. Two more to go and I claim that she'll soon be cancer-free. Zaider said, "Pareho na kaming kalbo ni Mommy!" This simple gesture made our mom smile because she knows that she is not fighting her battle alone. We are with her on this journey. We will beat cancer together. God is good. We believe that our mom will be healed in Jesus' name. And to all cancer warriors out there, stay strong and just keep on fighting!
