Five Words Better Than "I Love You"
He never gets tired of saying "I love you". It became music replaying in my head and the tone of his voice is the sweet melody. When we ran out of things to talk about in the middle of our phone conversation he'll say "I love you". That time, when we were walking at the park with our hands entwined while waiting for the sunset, he whispered those three words.
But sometimes, I want to know why he loves me. Is this a romantic novella or am I just living in a fairytale with an uncertain ending? I want to know. "Why do you love me?" I asked him. He looked at me in the eyes and smiled. "Because you are so beautiful and I always can't wait to see you. I keep on missing you every day. Your eyes, I can't resist them." He said. The words he said made me so fluttered that I got lost in his eyes like I always do but I want to know how deep his sincerity is.
"You've seen all my flaws, my love. My darkest days almost destroy your most beautiful days. Am I that lovable?" I asked him. He held my hand tight and put it on the left side of his chest. I felt his heart beating fast. "Of course, I've seen it all but I still love you." He said. I'm more than satisfied with his replies but I want to know further to the point I asked a bit weird kind of question. "What if one day we woke up in a space and time where 'I love you' doesn't exist? How can you say you love me?" I asked him. Suddenly, he came closer to me. I closed my eyes and I felt a kiss on my forehead. "I will stay with you." He replied. I never thought those five words can melt my heart, more powerful than what "I love you" can do. Now, I want to replay it. It doesn't matter how many times because I know he will stay.
