Even with the long list of nail tutorials and beauty tools that promise an effortless mani-pedi session at home, a lot of girls are still iffy about painting their digits at home because of the risk of getting air bubbles, smudged polish, etc. when they're going for clean, smudge-free nails that nail technicians in a nail spa do. Well, you're in luck if you've never mastered painting your digits perfectly because messy manicure is apparently a huge trend in Brazil!
You heard it right, Candy Girls! Brazilian manicures are nothing like the traditional sleek and clean nail trends that we're used to seeing. In fact, Brazilian manicure purposely paints the nails messily because nail color lasts longer that way.
The Brazilian nail technician would paint the nails and the surrounding skin with a clear base coat, followed by the chosen nail color. Using this nail technique, the nail polish won't stain the skin as you apply it! How cool is that? Before the smudged nail color dries up, the nail technician will then use an orangewood stick with an acetone-soaked cotton ball to remove the excess nail color around the skin.
This nail application technique may be pretty crazy, but hey, if it works why not give it a shot right?
Would you ever try the messy Brazilian manicure technique, Candy Girls?
