The Golden Globes is definitely one of the biggest events of the year in Hollywood, which is why the fun doesn't just stop at the actual show. Everyone heads out to different after parties where other non-nominated celebs celebrate with their co-stars and besties. These parties are also opportunities for these celebs to change looks or simply get all glammed up all over again. Our favorite look from the after party circuit has got to be Nina Dobrev in her floor length, embelished Zuhair Murad dress. The best part of her look is how she went for an unexpected touch–purple, shimmery eye makeup that somehow fits perfectly with her entire ensemble. Here's a closer look:

This beauty look is perfect for any special occasion–prom, debut, or your big date night, which is why we're sharing with you how to recreate it in just 10 easy steps. Scroll down below to find out!

  1. Always start with your base! If you'll be sporting this look for an all night event like your prom, it's best to go with a powder foundation. All you need to do is wet the sponge, dab on the foundation in your skin tone, and apply evenly throughout your face and neck.

  2. For the eyeshadow, start with a light lavender shimmery hue for your base color. Apply this all over your lids with a brush. Feel free to go a little beyond your actual lids.

  3. Intensify your eye makeup by applying a dark lavender shimmery eyeshadow on the outer corners of your lids, Feel free to apply a few layers of this.

  4. For a more romatic look, opt for a pencil eyeliner instead of liquid to define your eyes. Draw over both your upper and lower lashline and lightly smudge afterwards for a subtle smoky look.

  5. Open up those eyes and add volume to your lashes by adding on some falsies–the longer and fuller, the better!

  6. Swipe on a few coats of mascara on both your falsies and lashes for a more natural effect.

  7. Define and fill in your brows with an eyebrow pen to further emphasize your eyes.

  8. Nina's whole face looked brighter because of a little trick called highlighting. Apply a little bit of highlighter around your eyes and above your cheek bones for a fresh touch to your makeup.

  9. Add a bit of color to your face by swiping on a blush-bronzer duo on the apples of your cheeks and a little bit of the excess around your face.

  10. Top it all off by swiping a nude-pink lippie all over your lips for that pretty, polished look.
