Makeup Rules to Follow for Flawless Selfies
The Philippines is known for a lot of things like the admirable hospitality of the Filipinos, the undying support we have for each other, and of course, for being the selfie capital of the world. To make sure that your selfie game is always always on point, we're listing down the different makeup rules you need to know and follow to ace that selfie with ease!
Don't forget to prime. If you're just heading to school, or to the mall, it's pretty tempting to just skip the primer and go straight for the BB Cream or the foundation. But if you're planning on taking a selfie at any time of the day, primer is a definite must to make sure that your makeup lasts throughout the day.
Dont line your entire lid. After you've mastered the cat eye flick, lining your lids is pretty fun to do! But to achieve a picture perfect selfie, lining your entire lid can make your eyes look smaller than it really is! Instead, line only from the center of your lid to the outer corners of your eye, or for a trendier and much easier to do liner trick, just create a winged effect on the edge of your lids.
Do add more. If IRL less is more, when it comes to selfies and photographs you need to add more color to your eyes, lips, and cheeks to avoid looking washed out, or too pale in the photos. A bold red lip and strong eye game combo usually does the trick!
Do contour and highlight, but blend, blend, blend. As Juan Sarte shared with us before, you need to contour to make the face come alive in the photos. So play with shadows and highlights to create a picture perfect beauty look, but don't forget to blend well, or the camera might capture your unblended contour, too! Yikes!
Do have fun! Very much like fashion, selfies are a great way to show off your personality and to just have fun while showing off your best angles!
