Lately, it’s been a hot trend for guys to sport freely flowing locks. If you’re looking to grow your hair out and try the long-haired look, we consulted with celebrity hairstylist Mark Anthony Rosales for the best hairstyles to try depending on your face shape.
Heart
If you’ve got a somewhat narrow and pointed chin, Mark recommends mid-length and windswept hairstyles. He says, “It helps to frame the forehead; the objective is to balance out the forehead against the small chin.”
Round
If you've got a softer jawline that's similar in measurement to your forehead, chances are, you've got a round face shape. Mark suggests trying a top knot or a pompadour to add volume and create the illusion on a longer face.
Square
Square-shaped faces are similar to round ones, except the jawline is much sharper in contrast to the soft features of a round face. According to Mark, any long and sleek look would would complement the features of square-shaped faces.
Diamond
Diamond-shaped faces get narrower from the forehead down to the chin, which is probably why Mark says it's versatile enough to sport and work any kind of hairstyle. Get creative and try all sorts of long-haired looks to see which ones you feel most confident in.
