In the past year, minimalism has been all the rage and we're not surprised to see this trend-turned-lifestyle soldier on to 2017. We've seen countless organizing hacks and most important of all—we learned about the KonMari method from The Life-Changing Magic of Tidying Up.
Aside from decluttering clothes and paper, perhaps one of the highlights of this method is the category of komono, which is what the Japanese call miscellany. It covers a range of things you own, from CDs and DVDs to sewing kits and what we're focusing on today: makeup and skin care.
Marie Kondo recommends:
Go through all your drawers, bags, clothing pockets and shelves—take every makeup or skin care product you can find around your house and place it all on the floor.
Read the labels and immediately get rid of anything that is already past the sell-by and used-by date.
