Here's a Genius Trick to Making Your Hair Smell Fresh All Day
In the face of city pollution and strong cafeteria odors, even the best-smelling shampoos struggle to compete. One big enough puff of smoke and your hair-washing efforts can be gone in a flash. Sigh.
On the bright side, a quick fix does exist for your mane's scent troubles. And we don't mean spraying perfume directly onto your head, because that's not exactly ideal. (The alcohol can dry out your scalp, which is the last thing we want to happen.)
Our preferred technique is this:
Instead of spritzing perfume on your hair head-on, spray some onto a hair brush first! Then from there, you can brush your hair like normal to spread the scent. Easy-peasy.
Why is it better? Well, using a brush applies the scent evenly throughout your hair, and since there's no direct contact between your scalp and the fragrance, irritation is less likely to happen.
And to put a hack on top of this hack, try using a long-lasting fragrance for this technique. Because if it can make your body smell good all day, it can probably do the same for your hair. Just be careful not to spray too much on the brush or do it too often, or else your hair might dry out or become too oily! Light body sprays work, too, and they typically won't break the bank.
Last but definitely not the least, do a patch test with the perfume you plan to use first before trying this out. You can do this by spraying behind your ear or a small portion of your scalp. Let's avoid an allergic reaction while we're at it!
Try it out and let us know how it works for you!
