Every year, Preview holds an awesome anniversary bash that brings out amazing and dapper fashion on the red carpet. Last Friday night, the authority on fashion and beauty in the country's celebrated its 20th year in the industry and it did not disappoint. The creative black attire theme brought out the best looks in our favorite stars. We caught up with them too to talk about beauty and their must-haves for formal events.
Julie Anne San Jose made a statement in her red hot number. She described her entire look as innocent edgy—a clear manifestation of her metamorphosis from teenybopper to woman. We got an inside look of her purse too which contains her phone, some tissue, compact powder, and lip gloss.
Julia Barretto opted for a classic look borrowed from the male department. Killing it in a clean tux, the classic and minimalist look gave way for the star to play with her delicate features which highlighted her cheek bones. She also spilled her must-haves for the night: "Mints, very important. And lipsticks for retouch!"
Janeena Chan pushed the creative black attire envelope with intricate embroidery and gorgeous details. Last year's Candy Readers' Choice Awards co-host and winner in the Best Model category actually did her own makeup! She says "plummy" shades were her best bets for the night. A little bit of shimmer was also key to achieve what she described as an ethereal, sweet and dainty look. She also gave us some beauty tips: Smoky eyes work well with chinitas and match your make-up with your outfit. We got a closer look of her purse too which contains different shades of lippies, her phone, contacts case, press powder, and concealer.
Yassi Pressman was a vision with a lovely gown that looked like artwork. Aside from her keys, she told us that her purse contained her beauty must have for big events: lipstick and lip brush. She described her look as messy in the artistic way of being undone. Oh, and what does she consider her best feature for the night (aside from her dress of course)? Her lush locks, "We did it in five minutes after a commercial shoot. We just finished"!
Janine Gutierrez turned heads elegantly clad in plaid and structured men's wear. Unlike the other ladies, she didn't find it necessary to bring a purse with. She told us that her beauty look for the night is pretty much about making her eyes pop. And as always, this girl's signature bold kilay is on fleek.
