Here's How You Can Create a Bun Minus a Hair Tie

Four easy steps to beautiful hair.
ART Clare Magno

Got a big test, but forgot your hair tie at home? Not to worry because here's a trick for a hair tie-less bun! This is probably best done by girls with longer hair and it may take some practice and getting used to but trust us, once you get the hang of it, you'll wonder how you lived without it for this long.

One

Gather your hair as if you're about to tie it into a ponytail and hold onto it with your hand.

Two

Place your other hand underneath the hair and start twisting it clockwise until the entire ponytail is twisted.

Three

Create a bun with the now-twisted ponytail by wrapping the ponytail clockwise on your scalp. If there's some extra hair that can't be twisted further, just tuck that in underneath the bun you've already made.

Four

Hold the bun with your left hand while loosening a section of hair next to the bun with your right. After loosening it, pull the hair over the bun you've made and voila.
