Here's the thing, when it comes to exams you can pull an all-nighter or study for a week, but at the end of the day there's no guarantee if the exam will be easy or if your prof will decide to go bonkers and give an exam on topics he/she barely talked about. But what if we tell you that beauty can save the day?

According to a study conducted by Cogent Psychology, wearing makeup during an exam can actually help you score higher on the test! We know it may sound ridiculous, but hear us out. This claim was based on a study with 186 girls who were asked to take a stimulated test. While some girls took the test with a full face on, some took the exam au natural. And guess what, Candy Girls, the girls who took the test with makeup on ended up scoring 10-20% higher than the girls who went in makeup free.

Although we'd like to believe that our makeup goodies have magical powers, the takeaway of the study is that people who feel more confident end up performing better than those who don't. And you know what can give you a major confidence with just one swipe? A good ol' red lip and black mascara pairing, of course! So the next time you've got a big exam coming up, make sure to allot at least 5 minutes for your makeup pre-testing.

What do you think of this study? Let's talk beauty!
