If there’s one beauty brand that never fails to make us nostalgic about our childhood days, it’s definitely Filipinta Beauty. ICYMI, this New York-based Filipino cosmetic brand has also gone viral in the past for its banana ketchup-inspired lip gloss that is reminiscent of our favorite condiment.
Another product that gathered hilarious reactions from the netizens is their “Fish Ice Cream Balm” which surely reminded some of us why we developed trust issues when we were younger. Raise your hand if you remember opening an ice cream tub only to learn that it contains something else, LOL. “Imagine rummaging through your fridge and finding a nice, big tub of ice cream just waiting to be opened—only to be greeted by a couple of uncooked tilapia. One of my first memories of betrayal. Do we all share this core memory?” the brand wrote in their Instagram post.
This artisanal lip balm may look like a pair of tilapia in a tin but it has an ice cream scent. It even comes with a little spatula! It’s priced at $15 (approximately Php 884), but as of this writing, they are only available on their website, though they are already working on making their products locally available via Lazada.
The netizens’ comments on the brand’s post prove that this is definitely a *core* memory from our childhood, LOL!
One of the things that the netizens were also curious about was the product’s smell but the brand assured them that it smells like ice cream, haha!
Some even pointed out that the design is “very Filipino” and shared other variations of what their parents put in similar containers.
