When you’ve got a sun-kissed glow, it can sometimes be hard to look for blush products that will complement your skin tone, or at least, find a shade that won’t drown you out and make your complexion look ashy. End result: you completely forgo this makeup step and head to school blush-free. While incorporating blush into your daily makeup routine is really up to your own preference, this particular step may actually make or break your entire MOTD (Makeup of the Day). According to makeup artist Rae Morris in an interview with Vogue Australia, swiping on some blush on your cheeks adds to that healthy, glowing look, which is much appreciated especially if you’ve been drained by never-ending school work and org responsibilities.

If a natural morena flush is a must in your everyday makeup routine, finding the right shade for your skin tone is essential. As always, we look to the stars for the best blush shades that will highlight our golden glow. Here are our top blush shades for morenas, as seen on our favorite celebs:

1. Brick Red

The perks of being morena include getting to look fire in bold and pigmented shades that our lighter-skinned friends won't normally be into. To avoid looking ashy, Allure recommends subtle reddish hints on sun-kissed skin to bring out a healthy glow. Friendly tip: Instead of just swiping it on the apples of your cheeks, take it a little further to the center and sweep some across your nose for a natural morena flush.

2. Burnt Orange

If reddish shades are a bit too bold for you, brownish and orangey hues that are close to your skin tone will also complement your bronzy glow and add some dimension to your look. Copper shades will make it look like you just got back from a fun beach trip.

3. Berry

Warm shades may not be for everyone (especially if they don’t match your undertones). In that case, a cool-toned option for you would be berry pink. Rich berry-hued blush products add a pop of color to tan skin. Tap a bit of berry-pigmented blush on your cheeks for a subtle flush.
