Aries

(March 21 to April 19)

Everyone's being extra nice to you this month about how great your glow is. Don't brush the compliments off, Aries—soak them all in, say thank you, and see how extra radiant you become when you embody that authentic beauty. Set off your inner radiance even more by adding on some subtle highlights and skin brightening elixirs.

Taurus

(April 20 to May 20)

Practice makes perfect and this month's calling you to test your aptitude in a brand new beauty skill. Whether it’s trimming your own bangs (get some expert mentorship from your stylist), reshaping your brows yourself, or learning how to perfect a French manicure all on your own, summon up some extra confidence and keep at it.

Gemini

(May 21 to June 20)

Time to 'fess up—have you had some bad beauty practices lately? October is laying down karmic law your way. It's time to pay back for sleepless nights, zero hydration, and one of beauty's biggest sins, not washing off your makeup properly at the end of the day. Regroup and learn your lessons well so you can start over stat.

Cancer

(June 21 to July 22)

The beauty world's your oyster this month, which means you're allowed exactly 31 days to window shop (or shop-shop) as you please. Which trends are speaking straight to your heart? Have a go at them and know that you need not commit to just one look. Hop from one vibe to another, you have your pick of the litter.

Leo

(July 23 to August 22)

Brainstorming your Halloween look? You'll want to toe the line—nothing too sexy (keep that Khaleesi costume under wraps and go for a covered up Daenerys Targaryen instead), nothing too conservative either. We know how much you hate to play it safe, Leo—but you'll figure out how to sizzle while still keeping the parents happy.

Virgo

(August 23 to September 22)

Suffering from insomnia, Virgo? You need to give yourself a major stress break to prevent those eye bags from taking over. Sleep is a must, especially when your skin's starting to look sallow and unkempt. Keep those cooling cucumber slices on your eyes when napping and have a hot cup of calming tea while you're at it.

Libra

(September 23 to October 22)

On the fence about what your next haircut will look like? The stars are daring you to take a risk and to stop overanalyzing every little decision. Hair grows back, so you have plenty of time to recover from a botched 'do. That said, who’s to say your stylist's going to ruin your coiffure? Stay optimistic, bring a lot of pegs, and start snipping.

Scorpio

(October 23 to November 21)

Your skin may be going through a purge this month, Scorpio. This means you're going to have to contend with a couple of surprise zits popping up once in a while. As much as you possibly can, keep your face make-up free to let those pores breathe...and when you've got no choice, make sure you use an ace concealer that’ll erase any blemishes.

Sagittarius

(November 22 to December 21)

It's easy to disassociate the food we eat with our beauty routines in general, but what you put in your body does have some bearing on how your hair grows, and how glow-y or dull your skin becomes. Take care of your beauty concerns this month by making sure you eat healthy and adequately. Get a lot of those leafy greens and healthy fats in!

Capricorn

(December 22 to January 19)

It's not wise to limit yourself beauty-wise this month, Capricorn. When in doubt about which way to go (crème sheen or matte lip? cream blush or powder?), know that you don't have to restrict yourself to just one choice. When it comes to beauty shopping, you can totally have the best of both worlds—buy both!

Aquarius

(January 20 to February 18)

It's all about a lush, luxurious look this month. Treat your mane to an enriching hair mask and see how your hair thanks you back. Saturate your skin with a super moisturizing face mask before going to bed and wake up to plumpness and suppleness you’ve never seen before. Enrich your beauty routine and empower yourself.

Pisces

(February 19 to March 20)

One big beauty trend that's slowly making its way into the mainstream is eco-friendly, organic beauty. Let the do-gooder in you shine through this month by trying your hand at sustainable products that are not animal-tested and are fair trade. It’s time to pay it forward and look good while you're at it!

To the Person Who Does Not Know Any 1D Song

By: CJ Reyno

Never in my wildest dream I imagined to meet someone who does not know a single One Direction song or who does not even know, Harry Styles, Louis Tomlinson, Liam Payne, Niall Horan, and err… Zayn Malik. How did you spend your teenagehood without listening to their songs? The disrespect to my #StyPayHorLikSon. My initial reaction, Vas Happenin’?

Since I was 12 years old, that was way back on 2012, One Direction songs have been my official life soundtrip, my go-to songs whenever I feel happy, sad, mad, excited, and etch. I can still remember how people went crazy just to attend their concert here in the Philippines. I must admit, I was one of those. LOL. The group was also dubbed as, “The Biggest Boyband in the World”. They were an era. You really left me in awe when you told me that you do not know a single One Direction song. Their songs are gold. But I was a little hopeful when a new messaged popped up on our conversation, “Hey I know one, Make You Beautiful”.

You do not know how my world collapsed after reading your message. I would like to say that I appreciate the effort, thanks, but they do not have a song entitled, Make You Beautiful, because it is, What Makes You Beautiful. I tried to explain but you said that they are just the same. (Tip: Never fight with a Directioner when it comes to this because we will not let our guards down). No! They are not the same. How can you make this big mistake? LOL. What Makes You Beautiful is One Direction’s debut song. Almost everyone knows this, “you’re insecure, don’t know what for,” ring a bell? The music video of this surpassed 1 billion views on Youtube. On my 21 years of existence, you are the very first person who told me this “I-Thought-It-Was-A-Joke-But-You-Are-Serious” statement.

As a persuasive fangirl, I thought to myself that I should make you appreciate their music, that you should know that it is What Makes You Beautiful, not Make You Beautiful. The group may be in hiatus but their music is and will always remain superior. You are hard-headed lad. We even when to the point where you challenged me to treat so I can make you watch their music video. Am I even surprised that I agreed to this? HAHA. I feel like an agent trying to persuade her customer to buy a property on our company. You do not know how happy I was when you sent me your video listening to What Makes You Beautiful. I felt like I successfully closed a deal with my client. Not to exaggerate but I really jumped because of happiness after watching your video. It was the first message I checked that morning. Thank you for your effort, so much appreciated. Funny how our conversation starts with your innocence on One Direction until it goes deeper and last longer. Up All Nigh conversations which turned to almost Midnight Memories. Ironic how a Directioner had developed an admiration on someone who dislikes her favorite boys? Just like One Direction’s song, Change My Mind, “Never felt like this before. Are we friends or are we more?” I guess, like Liam’s line on Love You Goodbye, “It's inevitable everything that's good comes to an end. It's impossible to know if after this we can still be friends.”

I was happy that I made you listen to One Direction. At least I made you appreciate and made you aware that there is a song called, What Makes You Beautiful, not Make You Beautiful. I am happy that you already found your Girl Almighty. Wish me luck on finding my Summer Love. xoxo, Your Directioner friend
