Aside from your favorite celebs choosing to make the cut, summer is probably the most tempting season to want to make the chop. Whether you're looking for a hair makeover or simply want to beat the heat, short hair promises breezier and easier to maintain locks, too! But if you want to take the opposite route and make your hair grow longer, we asked celebrity hairstylist Mark Rosales the age-old question every girl has been wanting to know.

Q: Is there a way to make my hair grow faster?

Mark: The easiest way to make one's hair grow faster is to eat the right food with the corresponding nutrients that the hair needs. Food that are rich in protein, vitamins, and minerals should do the trick. But visiting your stylist for your regular trim every four to six weeks to prevent split ends is just as important, too! A surefire way of making sure that your hair grows longer is to make sure that your locks are healthy as well. So keep your hair healthy without stripping away its natural oils and nutrients by alternating your regular shampoo with a nifty dry shampoo. When shampooing your hair, make sure to rinse the product off with cold water to help seal your hair cuticles and prevent moisture loss as well.
