Modern acne is one of the most common beauty problem that girls face, but some girls face a more serious beauty problem like warts, too! Q: Eek! I have a wart growing. What do I do?

Dr. Raissa: Warts are benign skin growths that are caused by strains of the Human Papilloma Virus (HPV). They are contagious, and can multiply and spread to other parts of the body, or even other people, too. There are a lot of different kinds of warts, but two common kinds we often see are flat warts and common warts. Flat warts are small and skin-colored. They can occur anywhere on the body, but are more often seen on the face and neck. Common warts are bigger, have a rough and raised appearance and grow mostly on the fingers, hands, and feet.
