When we think of eyeliner, we immediately cringe in fear of poking our eye with it. Not to mention, the struggle to perfect each flick with utmost precision is all too real. After all, who wants to look like a panda, right? Well, those days are over because we've rounded up foolproof hacks to perfect your liner look just in time for party season! Read on to get your flick on fleek!

1. Pick the tool according to your skill level.
For makeup newbies, a pencil is the easiest tool to work with. A gel liner may require the use of an angled brush, but it's still considered to be beginner-friendly because you rim your lids the same way you control a pencil. The toughest eyeliner paraphernalia is a liquid liner because with it, a tiny mistake can mess up your makeup. But then again, use whatever you're most comfortable with.

2. Start small.
Draw little dots instead of creating a fluid line in one go. This way, you can apply the liner closer to the lash line without difficulty. Connect the dots and stand back away from the mirror to see how it looks. If you've made a mistake, you can dip a cotton bud in moisturizer to erase it without entirely ruining your eye makeup.

3. Concentrate on the upper and outer lashes.
These areas, when enhanced, create an optical illusion that your eyes are larger than life. If you think you need to put on liner on the lower lashes, do it sparingly with a lighter colored pencil (like gray or dark brown) to avoid dragging your eyes downwards.

4. Black is great, but brown is okay, too.
Black liner is best at giving your lashes a volumizing boost, but give brown eyeliner some attention, too! A dark brown shade is great to use during daytime, and it lends a softer look, which is great for girls who are just dabbling with liners!

5. Don't forget the mascara.
Your liner look will look incomplete if your lashes are straight and thin. Always, always curl your eyelashes and apply generous coats of mascara for a glam, finishing touch!
