You don't need to be an expert to go out looking like you've got celebrity-level beauty looks. All you need to know is how to use the right products (for your skin tone and type) plus how much of it you really need to put on. We've put together an easy 5-step list for makeup newbies and enthusiasts alike to make getting ready a little bit more effortless.

  1. Pick a base that's foolproof. Get to know your skin: find out what your tone is and figure out what type it falls under. When you've got the product that works perfectly with your complexion, it's easier to put on! No need to worry if you look like you're wearing a white mask or if you're glistening and not in a dewy kind of way.

  2. Learn how to do your brows. You can skip everything and concentrate on grooming your brows. Well-groomed brows can transform a face like you can't imagine! If you've mastered this step, you're on the right track!

  3. Highlight where it counts. Though a lot of people love the magic of contouring, some don't realize what wonders highlighting can do, too! It can emphasize your cheek bones, make your pout look even better, and give you just the right glow.

  4. Find your MLBB shade. It can be a lightly-tinted gloss or a nude lippie, but finding your signature my lips but better shade is essential! It instantly makes you look fresher without making it seem like you went through hours of hair and makeup. All you need is a swipe of it to transform you!

  5. Hack it! If you're still learning how to put on makeup, chances are you'll be encountering a ton of boo-boos. So before you panic, learn a few quick fixes for every beauty disaster to help you out! It's totally doable. Promise!
