If the seventies were all about being hip and groovy and the eighties were all for fun and boldness, the nineties were everything cool and edgy and their beauty trends were no exception. While the '90s did give us some of the most outrageous fashion choices a.k.a. the legendary cone bra, this decade also introduced classic beauty looks that are timeless, chic, and surprisingly elegant. Bring out your makeup stash and go back in time with these cool nineties beauty trends you're going to want to rock, Candy Girls.

Nude Lippies

If the eighties was a decade mad for bright lips, the nineties enjoyed simple and versatile nude lips. Top it off with a swipe of gloss for a total '90s throwback.

French Manicure

All '90s gals have rocked the French mani at least once in their lives. If you find the classic mani style too safe for your taste, opt for a fun version instead by swapping your white tips for edgier black.

Deep Berry Lips

Grungier than classic red, but daintier than plum, a berry lip is the middle ground for girls who want to rock a bold lip color without going over the top.

Naked Eye

The seventies chick enjoyed painting their lids in different pastel hues, but the nineties gal opted for a chicer nude shadow to balance the boldness of her strong berry lip.

Brown Bullets

Other than naked nude, and bold berry, the nineties gal loved their brown bullets, too! And who could blame them? Brown lippies have the perfect retro flair without looking passé.

The "Rachel"

If the seventies had the "Farrah," the '90s had the "Rachel." Up the ante of your chic LOB by upgrading it to a shaggier nineties-inspired cut.

Blue Shadow

If nude eyeshadows are too safe and boring for you, opt for fun and wild blue shadow instead for an electric blast from the past.
