Beyond being a promising Kapuso actress and a budding Gen Z it-girl, Ysabel Ortega is also a diligent student. ICYDK, the Voltes V star actually enrolled in law school after she finished her undergraduate Political Economy degree at University of Asia and the Pacific.Â

"I was super happy that I finished my acads. I feel like I'm not doing enough. I feel like I'm young and I feel like I should be making the most out of my time. So even if I was already super busy with work, I decided to go to law school," she shared in our latest episode of Candy Chit-Chat, wherein she was asked several questions about her school life.Â
Eager to help out fellow students, Ysabel didn't shy away from opening up about her experiences as a 24-year-old working student. She got real about the pressure of meeting deadlines, improving her time management skills, and even practicing the Socratic Method in her pre-law course.Â
"Honestly, I actually prefer the Socratic Method. It challenges me to learn and understand the reading more than if I would just listen to the professor talking about it. I think it's really just to be patient and to read talaga," she advised.Â
