Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel Artist: Mariah Carey
Album: Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel (Special Philippines Edition)

In her twelfth studio album, Mariah Carey sings about love - of finding, losing and achieving it. Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel is a more intimate and soulful compilation with each song representing a story in the singer's life. The 21 songs on the CD are enough to make you laugh and relieve your sweetest, most romantic memories and cry over your most devastating heartbreaks.

Listening to "Candy Bling" is a surefire way to make you feel nostalgic about the glory of your first love. Meanwhile, "Standing O" and "Up Out My Face" is perfect if you need encouragement when saying goodbye to the jerk who broke your heart.

At the same time, sing your heart out to "Obsessed" and party to the four remixed versions included in the album.

However, I greatly recommend listening to her cover of "I Wanna Know What Love Is" if you want the classic Mariah Carey experience complete with the belting out solos and choir background vocals that transformed this song from the rock genre to a great mix of R&B and gospel. —Alekx Toyhacao

Boyce Avenue

Artist: Boyce Avenue
Album: On Their Way To Avenue A+

Thank goodness they finally became big shots! These "Boyce" truly deserve their big break. From their incredible performances in YouTube, they have conquered the recording studios as well. I was happy to see that their covers in YouTube were not sensationalized in the album. I wanted to see what Boyce Avenue could do and they proved they could do so much more than what I expected. I got to see their musical stylings in their amazing album because the songs were originals. Their songs would fit any moment from walking down the street to driving down Roxas Boulevard (Believe me, I've tried it with my earphones in full volume. It was a sweet walk/ride). After listening to their first album, you would start counting down the days until their next album comes out. —Jazmin Reyes
