After Cinderella, Maleficent, The Jungle Book, and Beauty and the Beast, we know you've been wanting more from Disney. Don't worry because you're not alone in that. We've actually been waiting for reports on what they're going to work on next. Turns out they're planning on releasing 19 more live-action remakes of their classic animated movies! Woohoo! According to Insider, the studio have plans to bring to life at least 19 more animated films.
The list includes Mulan, which they're planning to release in November 2018. The sad thing? They're not going to include any of our beloved songs in the film. Whaaat, whyyy??? (via Nerdist.com)
The Lion King is also getting a live-action remake. The Jungle Book director Jon Favreau is leading the team, which will include the beloved songs from the original movie. (via TheHollywoodReporter.com)
Loved 1941's Dumbo? If you haven't watched it still, it's about time you ask mom for a copy before the remake, directed by Tim Burton, hits theaters worldwide. (via TheHollywoodReporter.com)
The list of movies that the studio is planning to remake includes The Sword and the Stone, Cinderella's Prince Charming, Genies (Genie from Aladdin!), Aladdin, Cruela de Vil's spin-off movie where she'll be brought to life by Academy Award winner Emma Stone, Winnie the Pooh, Peter Pan, Tink (the fairy from Peter Pan which is set to be played by Reese Witherspoon), Pinocchio, The Jungle Book 2, a sequel to Sleeping Beauty, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, Snow White's sister Rose Red, The Little Mermaid (nope, not this movie), and Roald Dahl's James and the Giant Peach.
