After years of building a reputation as a talented child actress, Xyriel Manabat is finally returning to showbiz as an up-and-coming teen star. While her comeback has gained a lot of support from her long-time fans, some are also curious about why Xyriel had to halt her career in the first place.
In a recent Eat Bulaga guesting, the 18-year-old actress broke her silence on the issue to reassure her fans.
Hindi ko po alam kung gusto ko po bang magtuloy na committed ako sa trabaho ko, or gusto ko bang mag-enjoy, or gusto ko bang maging full-time sa pagiging regular student,” she said, explaining that she missed out on some childhood experiences due to work.
When Xyriel finally made her decision to leave showbiz, she belatedly realized that she wanted to further excel in the industry.
Now set to join the Dirty Linen cast alongside Francine Diaz and Seth Fedelin, Xyriel has been mentally preparing herself for her grand comeback. Dapat sure po ako doon sa desisyong gagawin ko, more on mentally nag-prepare ako,” she stated.
ICYDK, Xyriel previously starred in the indie film Ilawod and the hit teleserye 100 Days to Heaven. We’re definitely looking forward to her future projects!
