ICYMI: Julia Barretto is set to star in a romance drama called Will You Be My Ex? alongside Diego Loyzaga. Since the show navigates the complexities of giving second chances, Julia didn't hesitate to share her own thoughts on common breakup dilemmas while promoting the film.Â

For instance, she revealed in a recent Magandang Buhay episode that she'd prefer not to stay friends with her ex-boyfriends. "Kaya niyo ba? Kasi kung kaya niyo, there's something weird with me siguro," she confessed with a laugh when asked about whether or not she still keeps in touch with her former lovers.
The Gen Z actress further explained that she there's a fine line between acting civil towards your exes and growing close to them once again. "Ex mo na kasi eh. Pero you can be civil and respectul. And maayos ang pakikitungo sa isa't isa, pwede kayong magkamustahan," Julia shared. "I feel like when that part of your life is over, it means that whole relationship including the friendship."
She also brought up the idea that your current partner may not feel comfortable if you're still in your ex's barkada: "Especially if you're happy at the moment diba, it's really as respect to your current partner as well because hindi naman ata proper."
"Okay lang naman, I mean maayos ang pakikitungo. But to be close friends, parang magbabalikan na kayo nun, parang date nanaman," Julia concluded.Â
