Social media’s been abuzz with news that a possible new series revolving around Greek mythology, called Kaos, is set to drop on Netflix. The title’s already available on the streaming platform if you look up the show’s name, but no other details—like the cast or the official release date—have been revealed yet as of writing. We've all been hoping for some mythology-inspired show or movie, so this surely sounds promising. We did some searching, and here’s what we know so far about the new Netflix series:

Its creator is the same person behind The End Of The F***ing World

If you were a fan of the Netflix original for its sense of humor (and even the soundtracks), there’s a huge chance you’ll like Kaos, too. British writer Charlie Covell, the same writer for The End Of The F***ing World, is responsible for developing the Greek mythology series.

It’s been in the works since 2018.

People have only discovered and started talking about the show recently, but it’s actually been in the news for quite some time now. Entertainment news site Vulture has already reported about the show’s creation in June 2018, announcing Covell’s renewed partnership with Netflix for another British series.

The “genre-bending” series will have 10 episodes.

In an interview with RadioTimes, Covell says, “It’s basically like a contemporary reimagining of Greek Mythology, so it’s a big show.” The writer also revealed that the series is set to have 10 hour-long episodes and will revolve around themes of “gender politics, power, and life in the underworld.”

Covell also mentioned in the same interview with RadioTimes that filming is set to start in June 2020 and the show should be available for streaming on Netflix in 2021. Given the COVID-19 situation, we aren't too sure how filming is going to happen, and there aren't really any news announcements about it yet. For now, we'll just turn on that Remind Me button on Netflix so we'll get notified as soon as the show drops.
