What To Do When The Lights Go Out

It's Earth Hour this Saturday from 8 to 9pm and while we know there may be several reasons why you'd want to keep your lights on, here are some suggestions on what you can do while they're turned off.

Dinner by candle light
Prepare a simple meal and share it with your family, your guy, or your gal pals. If the weather is nice out, lay on a blanket in the garden. Line up some candles around (make sure they're in glasses or cans to make sure you don't burn your house down!) and enjoy the company. The hour will go by so fast you won't even notice the time. :)

Make s'mores
Grab some graham crackers, milk chocolate, and marshmallows. Over a low flame (you can either make a bonfire or use your gas range—but ask help from your mom or dad), heat the marshmallow on a barbecue stick. When it's slightly toasted, place it between two graham crackers. You may opt to include a square of milk chocolate in between. They make for a yummy dessert and late night treat.
