UST Wins “School of the Year” at the Philippine Student Quill Awards

The university won 6 excellence awards and 15 merit awards.

The University of Santo Tomas, for the seventh year in a row, has won the title “School of the Year” at the Student Quill Awards virtual event held on March 25, 2021, via IABC Philippines’ YouTube Channel. 

The 18th Philippine Quill and the 8th Philippine Student Quill Awards, hosted by the International Association of Business Comuunicators Philippines, have always acknowledged esteemed individuals who have given an outstanding performance in the field of communication research, programs, skills, and creative work.

With over 800 entries from both public and private sector organizations, UST was able to showcase its students' talents once again. 

In his acceptance speech, Rev. Fr. Isaias Tiongco, Vice-Rector of the university, also congratulated the 21 student representatives who were also awardees of the different divisions. The awardees consisted of student leaders from various colleges and organizations of the university. 

“Indeed, the Thomasian Seal for communication and creative excellence continues despite the pandemic,” he mentions.

The university annually participates in the said event to recognize their students’ efforts and performances in their respective organizations.
