As an incoming college freshman, one of the most awaited "freshman" moments is when you first step on campus. For University of Sto. Tomas' first year students, it's been a years-long tradition to take part in the Thomasian Welcome Walk where they embark on their college journey by passing through the historic Arch of the Centuries with their batchmates.

But due to the COVID-19 pandemic, traditions will have to change. Instead of the usual welcome walk, incoming UST freshmen will instead be taken on a virtual tour of the UST campus through their own Minecraft server.

The UST Minecraft Launch and Tour will begin streaming on August 28, 3 p.m., on the UST Tiger TV Facebook page. Incoming students will get to explore 21.5-hectare UST-Manila campus on the Minecraft server, including the school's staple structures and buildings which were recreated and reconstructed by around 80 UST students.
