The University of the Philippines (UP) Vice President for Academic Affairs via UP's Office of the Student Regent announced on March 17 that they are suspending online classes in all campuses (except for UP Open University) in light of the "enhanced" community quarantine imposed by Malacañang on the entire Luzon. The annoucement also says that the suspension will be effective from March 17 until April 14, 2020.
Earlier on March 16, University of the Philippines - Diliman issued their own suspension of online classes. Their statement adds, "Now is the time that we put all our efforts on what is essential, and that is the welfare of our family and community."
As of writing, other universities have not yet suspended online classes.
