ICYMI or if you're not following any of our social media accounts (in that case, whyyy???), Nadine Lustre is on the cover of our September 2016 issue together with her real-life best friend Yassi Pressman. In celebration of her second cover with us, we decided to go back to our files of her very first Candy cover, the December 2014-January 2015 issue, and give you all the behind-the-scenes photos we've never shown you before. Plus, we're giving you a peek at her cover story that year, too, which was written by Candy's former editorial assistant Kaye Robles.Â
On her favorite song from her first album: "'Mr. Antipatiko.' It's super catchy-even James (Reid) liked it! He's really into music and is so hard to please so his positive feedback meant a lot to me."
Photographer BJ Pascual took Nadine's photos for this issue.
On the songs she'd dedicate to her leading men: "Andre (Paras) really reminds me of the music video for 'Birthday' by Katy Perry. He's really like a brother to me, and he's always so happy and goofy. For James, it would be 'Lionhearted' by Porter Robinson because we've gone through so many challenges and a lot of haters and I think we're pretty brave for still standing and working together."
Enjoy, Candy Girls, and don't forget to grab a copy of next month's issue which is already out this weekend!
