British band (and eye candies!), The Vamps, just released their third studio album entitled Night and Day. The album comes in two parts: Night and Day. The Night album includes a disc with 12 new songs, including their singles "All Night" featuring Matoma and "Middle of the Night" featuring Martin Jensen, and a second disc with their concert at London's O2 Arena.
To celebrate the release of Brad, James, Tristan, and Connor's new album, an album launch was organized by MCA Music, TriNoma, Astrovision, and Stat Photobooth last July 15. The event was hosted by Martin Javier and attended by The Vamps' biggest fans aka the Vamily, as well MCA Music Artist, Mika Gorospe. The event's set up consisted of bean bags, balloons, and small wooden tables which was totally IG-worthy.
There were games in which the participants either had to arrange the lyrics of the song or guess the video. The winners in each game received signed pictures of the band (OMG!). There were also three raffles during the program wherein winners got either a signed poster or signed "All Night" EP, talk about lucky!
Aside from The Vamps' music blasting from the speakers, two MCA Music artists were also present to entertain the Vamily with music. The Voice Kids Philippines' former contestants Kyle Echarri and Edray Teodoro both performed their individual singles. 14-year-old Kyle also did a cover of "All Night" by The Vamps which made fans swoon. After the event, we got the chance to speak to Kyle and Edray and ask about their music and of course, The Vamps.
We first interviewed Kyle (who was really tall!) and asked about his first single, "Our Moment," which he also performed during the launch. We asked what the song was all about and he said, "I think the message really is just to believe in that one moment that you're having; forget all your problems that you're having and just enjoy that moment."
Why did Kyle decide to join The Voice Kids Philippines? He says it was supposedly just a joke when his aunt told him to audition. Kyle says he told his aunt he'd audition if his aunt would come with him and his aunt said okay. "We had to wake up at 4am to audition, and thank God I auditioned which was very awesome because I didn't think I had a voice," Kyle continued.
Of course we had to ask Kyle what he liked about The Vamps since he says he's a fan of the band. He says he loves how the boys ‘are all a band' and it's not just fake voices, he adds that ‘All Night' is his favorite song. What is Kyle's message to his fans? "KYLEnatics, you guys have always been there for me ever since the start and I hope tuloy-tuloy pa rin ‘yun. [And] I love you guys so much."
After Kyle's interview, we then asked Edray about her third single, "Wala Lang."
Edray says that ever since she was little, she loved singing but no one really encouraged her to join singing contests. Edray says that joining The Voice Kids was entirely her decision and her parents supported her all throughout.
Edray says she is a fan of The Vamps and shares that her favorite member is the curly-headed cutie, Brad. Her favorite song is "Cecilia" featuring another cutie, Shawn Mendes, and proceeds to sing a few lines from it.
Lastly, we asked Edray what her message to her fans is, "Hey EDRAYnatics, thank you for supporting me all throughout, diyan lang kayo, 'wag kayong magsasawang sumuporta sa 'kin. I'll see you soon, God bless, and I love you so much," she then blows a kiss to the camera.
The Vamps, as well as Edray's self-entitled album, are available at all Astrovision and Astroplus branches nationwide. Go grab a copy of both albums now because there are some good songs on it that will surely end up in your favorite playlist!
