But in a recent interview with Q Magazine, the band's frontman Matt Healy revealed that he almost gave away their hit song to One Direction. It was going to be a collaboration but clearly, that didn't happen. (via

"I went into the studio with [One Direction] for a couple of hours to work on some stuff and, funnily enough, I ended up showing them 'The Sound' as a suggestion, but nothing came of it," he explained. "I was asked to do it, so I thought I'd see how it all works but it just didn't really work very well. It didn’t resonate so I thought I'd stick to my own thing."


Aww, can you imagine Harry, Liam, Louis, and Niall singing "The Sound"? Ahh, could've been incredible, too—especially if these two groups did it together, right?
