One of the most popular bands in the country today is indie folk pop band Ben&Ben. Best known for hits like "Pagtingin" and "Kathang Isip," the 9-piece band consists of brothers Paolo and Miguel Guico, Poch Barretto, Jam Villanueva, Patricia Lasaten, Agnes Reoma, Andrew de Pano, Toni Muñoz, and Keifer Cabugao.

Here, we get to know the local band's resident bassist Agnes Reoma.

She shares a YouTube channel with bandmate Patricia Lasaten.

The band recently launched a new YouTube video series called BBTV where they showcase all sorts of content outside of their own songs (They did a cover of popular K-pop songs for the very first episode!), but Agnes and fellow bandmate Patricia Lasaten also started their own YouTube channel in October 2019. They have been friends for five years.

She studied music in college.

You can tell that for Agnes, music is life. She took up Music Production at St. Scholastica's College Manila and even graduated with the Best Thesis/Highest Audition Grade award!

She learned how to play the bass through YouTube.

In their first Q&A video together, Agnes and Patricia were asked to give some advice to people who don't know what to do if they want to learn a new instrument but have no one who can teach them. And their answer? YouTube! Agnes even said that YouTube was her number one teacher when she was still learning how to play her instrument. She would just often search "How To" videos and learn from them on her own.

If she wasn’t in a band, she’d be a graphic artist.

What will life be like for Agnes if she wasn't part of a band? Agnes mentioned in their Q&A video that she took I.T. in Baguio for two years, so if she wasn’t part of Ben&Ben, she said she would most likely be doing web design or graphic design.

Aside from Ben&Ben, she's also part of another local band.

In 2015, both Agnes and Patricia became members of alternative pop rock band Runway Hits. They released songs like "Fireworks" and "Just A Little." When asked about how she ended up in the band in an interview, Agnes said, "Basically, pinababa ako ni Pat ng Baguio." LOL.
