When the first teaser for Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla's movie Barcelona: A Love Untold came out last night, we couldn't help but think how good the teen king and teen queen look together. Yes, we're still caught off guard by their chemistry after all these years.

These two have come a long way from the very first time we noticed their chemistry in Princess & I. So we thought we'd give you a little trip down memory lane today by going back as far as before Kathryn was part of KathNiel. Before the birth of one of this generation's brightest love teams, Kathryn was paired with these other actors, too.

1. Kristoffer Martin for Endless Love

Although Kathryn started her career on ABS-CBN, Kath starred as the young Jenny (the older Jenny was played by Marian Rivera) on the local adaptation of Endless Love opposite Kristoffer Martin, who was played by Dingdong Dantes later on the show.

2. Albie Casiño for Mara Clara

After Endless Love, Kath went back to her home network to star in the remake of Mara Clara with Julia Montes. There, she was paired with Albie who was also starting out in the biz.

3. Enrique Gil for Way Back Home and Princess & I

Enrique was first paired with the teen queen in the movie Way Back Home with Julia. Their pairing proved to be such a hit that they worked together again on the top-rating drama series, Princess & I.

4. Khalil Ramos for Princess & I

For Princess & I, the teen queen had three leading men—Enrique, teen king Daniel Padilla, and Khalil. Khalil played her childhood best friend Kiko. The lucky man who'll end up with Kath's character wasn't revealed until the end of the show. She ended up, of course, with the teen king and the rest was history.

They say time heals all wounds, but it has been ages - is heartbreak exempted?

I have forgotten when was the last time we shared a smile - the last time when I saw the glow in your eyes and the last time when you whispered an I love you to me. I have forgotten when, but here I am - writing to you again.

I do not know if you will read this or you will just add this one to my proses and poems that you left unread, but you see, I am still hoping. I am mailing the pain of us to the gods out there - hoping they can take the pain away. I should have gotten over you, but instead of forgetting and accepting our ending, I am writing about us in tissue sheets, carving about us on trees, telling about us on the back of my journals, hoping that a thousand or a million write ups about us, can make me forget about what happened.

I am writing, waiting for the point where I can no longer write anymore, for I have none to tell - but when? I have nothing in me anymore, but the memories of us - and no matter how hard I try put those to its own grave, the memories grow back like lilies in the swamp - painful and beautiful at the same time.

No matter how hard I try to silence those and put it at the back of my mind, those ring back, playing like the favorite song we used to listen. They say heartbreaks turn into poetry and that is what happening to us - but poetry should be dulcet and dreamy, why does ours sound like pain and agony? They say time heals all wounds, but it has been ages - is heartbreak exempted? Darling, I guess not.
